Busy May!

Warning: Frightfully long post!

It’s been awhile, the last post was depressing, I know. I have been thinking about updating for a long time but I tell ya, there was so much happening the last while, we’re still spinning. May seems to always be loaded with things, school ending, programs, graduations, weddings, reunions, and lots and lots of things during the week.

Ever since March the girls have been asking to go swimming!!! I told them they may not ask again till after Joel’s wedding. That worked for that question, but the next question always was, “How long till Joel’s wedding?” You really can’t win! So they have been swimming away on the back porch the last while, just in a little blue pool with duck tape over the holes, tho they are dieing for something bigger.

Speaking of Joel and Annie’s wedding… after much waiting, it has come and gone.
It was beautiful.
(For those of you with facebook, these are repeats, sorry)

Annie had lots of greens, forestry, woodsy, things. A table for two in the middle of the woods. πŸ™‚

The entrance was a beautiful garden setting.

They had a beautiful little flower girl. πŸ™‚
She did an excellent job. She walked {slowly} up the aisle, dropping her flowers. When she got to front she stopped and just stood there. Wild thoughts started running thru my brain about what she was going to do!!! She lifted her basket up high, turned it upside down and gave it a few good shakes to dump all the flowers out then marched over and stood in her spot. πŸ™‚ Life remains interesting with her around!

Since Reagan was flower girl and took pictures with the bridal party, I went with her.
Took a few shots from the side.

Queen Annie and the guys!

All the pretty ladies (and Joel)  πŸ™‚

It was suppose to rain, didn’t after all and then sun tried to peak thru a few times so everything was fully saturated for rich photos!

The happily married couple!!

Switching gears a bit…
Sunday evening Mom and Sarita came for a few days.
It was the best of times!
Lots of hard work but we had mucho fun doing it. At least I thought so. πŸ™‚

First off we (or rather “they”) ripped all the wall paper off the bathroom walls. The one and only room I had put papering, not sure what impaled my brained when I did that, but it’s off now and a beautiful MUSTARD yellow.

Part of the process! There are no “after” photos yet, no photo quite portrays the true yellow of the room. πŸ™‚ And there is no decor whatsoever.

We weeded flower beds, (see previous post), mowed lawn, weed eated, planted flowers, bought more perennials, planted those, painted doors, old shutters, and a bathroom! We went to Good Wills on half off day, we went to Holmes Co for a pool party with the best Yoder family and a good time was had by all! πŸ™‚

Lots to eat, lots of talking, laughing and just enjoying the day off!

While the kids had their own party in the pool! They were quite water logged till we got them out!

These 3 were quite the trio! Reagan can’t get done talking about all her fun!

Madison got a lot of practice for swimming lessons that are coming up!

Back home again… Sarita could give you lessons on painting and fixing. I just let her do my stuff since I seem to be technically impaired when it comes to that. πŸ™‚

After they left, we hit the lake one night.

The newly turned 30 year giving his daughter a zooming ride.

I managed to roll the dumb thing with her on it about an hour later!
No harm was done to anyone! πŸ™‚

The next day he scared the heebie-geebies out of them by giving them a lift! πŸ™‚
They could hardly wave to me because they were clenching the bars so tightly! He brought them down then went even higher for his own ride.

Now for one last vacation day… we’re just enjoying the day at home. The best way to spend a day!!
